Now that things are pretty much done around here, figured I'd see which individual strips were the most popular for each of y'all still around. Note that this includes all 44 NPTs as well as anything in the Extras section and the two comics currently as voting incentives, the Eyeskream caption contest winner and Carzorthade Guest Strip #2. I was going to make a poll, but apparently it was too many options, so you'll just have to post it, I'm afraid. And be sure to give reasons why it was your favorite, if you don't mind. And if you have a least favorite, go ahead and share that as well, I promise you won't hurt my feelings. Indeed, I'd welcome the criticism.

I'll take this area to tell you that I am liking the new NPT strip so far. Hooray.

My Wii recently exploded so the last comic makes me cry for its untimely death.

Just because my beloved Wii shat itself doesn't mean I'm a pleb.

Real console? By whose standards?
For the record I own all the recently released newfangled doohickeymabobs.

I just seem to find the most enjoyment out of my little Wii.
As do most men, odd how that little homophone works out, eh?

To further the console argument, and although I may be behind the times, I just finished both Left4Dead and Bioshock on PC.
That's me bringing a knife to a gunfight, but whatever.

Good to know the comic's in, hope thw update comes soon.

What games are you playing on it to derive such joy? Plenty of people I know with the system, but none seem enamored with it beyond the basics like Wii Sports. We'll occasionally play Smash, but not as much as we did last gen with Melee. The new Mario Kart was balls, Mario Party is shenanigans as aways...just isn't enough to do on it.

And those are good games, no question. Just got the L4D add-on with the new campaign, it was pretty good. Versus seems to be glitching out, however.

Oh, and I sent the comic to Chris hours ago, so now the ball of blame is in his court.

Oh yeah, blame the guy with a real job who works 10+ hour days Razz, instead of those people who get him the comic like 2 hours before midnight because they're a bunch of slackers.

And, Who uses apostrophe's in titles? Matt was completely the cause of the NPT interface not working for a day or 2.

As for the Wii, I have it, and I don't play it, but I don't play much of anything these days, mainly because I'm at home less than half the month.

Oh please if any of us had real jobs we wouldn't still be here, but rather out there taking calls on our Blackberries from people named "Mr. Widmore" or "Mr. Ackers" and snorting the real pricey stuff instead of laundry detergent.

On the matter avoiding a real job...does anyone know anything about being a D.J.? Not the cool kind, mind you, the ones that posit themselves as some sort of musical artist. More the wedding and bar mitzvah type. Thinking of breaking into this sort of venture, since it's rather similar to what I'm already doing with the trivia shows.

Well while I don't have a BlackBerry I do have a nice Windows Mobile phone, that people like to call well after normal work hours to request me to do more work. This weekend had quite a lot of that. No Widmore or Ackers though. Of course most high paying jobs are hardly real jobs anyway, most of them are all about seniority, and figuring out how to do the least amount of work and make the most amount of money. I hear schmoozing is also involved.

Most of my job is doing other people's jobs for them, seems to be how a consultant works. I'm basically a good pinch hitter.

And here Suiz and I were thinking I would be the only one who noticed the drats behind Ms. Whiplash there. I concur, it is probably my favorite reboot strip as well.

I protest the fact that the comic was sent in last night and has yet to be updated.

Get cracking, Simpson & Family.

UPDATE: Damn local servers, kept showing me yesterday's comic. Nevermind then. Carry on.

When describing the mustache I wanted Fiorella to have, I mentioned Dick Dastardly. Suiz was familiar with the character, albeit from a different cartoon than me (I knew him from Wacky Races, Suiz from the WR spinoff involving Dastardly as a WWI German flying ace), and as such threw in a little in-joke regarding Dastardly's G-rated curse of choice. "Drat and double drat", ergo Drat x2.

Although to be honest I knew him as Pierre Nodoyuna in the spanish version of the cartoon.

Why they decided to dub him as a frenchman is beyond me.

Wasn't that highly confusing with him playing a German in that spinoff? You know, the people who spent a lot of World War I mowing down the Frenchies en masse?

I don't know what shocks me more: that someone is reading, or that a post was made on this forum by a living, breathing person who was not just interested in enlarging areas of my anatomy.

Which is ironic, since I think wavtu's forum post increased the size of hust's anatomy.

Still glad to hear it. Still wondering whether future iterations of this forum will be more used and less useless.
