Our celebration of this interesting sort of…well, I don’t guess ‘holiday’ is the appropriate term, but it’s certainly shorter than “giant middle finger to terrorists or pansy-ass would-be terrorists who try to bully people into giving up their rights”. In any case, I hope a lot of you are also doing your part today. Be sure to check out our Mohammed-themed update on Hellidays as well. And a big thanks to Chris Paluszek of Carzorthade for this bit of activist art. I had tried to think of what would work for this without being too offensive, and then it hit me: Mohammed, you know, he probably didn’t come to Earth to give people the willies. He came to help us out! He was a booster. And so I shamelessly ripped off a fine comedic movie, and thus we bring you the “Buddy Mohammed”! And if you don’t like how we spelled the guy’s name, blame the big M for having so many different options in that area.

Regular NPT will resume on Monday. One hopes.

Matt’s entitled to his freedom of speech and opinion. He also has admin rights, so it’s his open forum as much as mine’s.

In any case, there’s something to be said about respect and making points with a sledgehammer. Kudos to those willing to overstep boundaries, but my opinions like somewhere in the middle ground of between respecting other cultures and making a big fuss about rather insignificant things.
